University of California Certifies 70+ FLVS Global Courses for Freshman Admission

FLVS Global, the national and international arm of Florida Virtual School®, announced that the University of California (UC) “a-g” review board has certified more than 70 of its courses for freshman admission to the university system. In addition, FLVS Global courses meet California standards, all the core courses are NCAA approved and all the Advanced Placement® courses are College Board approved.

Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) has launched four new elective courses, now available for Florida students: Career Research and Decision Making with Mawi Asgedom; Criminal Justice Operations 1; Theatre, Cinema, & Film Production; and M/J Careers in Fashion and Interior Design.

Florida Virtual School® & Grom Social Launch App to Ground Students in Math with Out-of-this-World Action

To help make math more accessible to students by making it fun, Zach Marks and Grom Social have teamed up with Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) to launch an exciting new math app called Solar Skate. The mobile skateboarding game reinforces geometry concepts and is aimed at kids in 4th through 8th grades.

Florida Virtual School® Now Offering Outdoor Education Course

Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) is now offering high school students (grades 9-12) the ability to learn about the benefits of viewing and experiencing wildlife and to engage in exercise through outdoor and extreme sports – relating it all to a healthy lifestyle. Outdoor Education, the new FLVS physical education course, is now available for free to Florida students.
