Parent Survey Reveals High Marks for FLVS Full Time as 2015-16 School Year Gets Underway

The 2015-16 school year is officially underway for Florida Virtual School Full Time (FLVS FT), as students statewide are logging on to complete lessons, connecting with classmates and engaging with certified teachers. As the new school year gets off to a successful start, the results from a recent Parent Satisfaction Survey reveal that parents are overwhelmingly satisfied with the virtual public school available to students in grades Kindergarten-12.

FLVS Students Outperform State Average in End-of-Course Exams

Florida Virtual School students bested the state average in End-of-Course (EOC) exams taken by Florida students in spring of 2015. The benchmark tests measure how well students have mastered course material.

Florida Virtual School® Driver Ed Students Now Able to Take Permit Exam for Free

For the first time, students who successfully complete the Driver Education/Traffic Safety course with Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) will have the opportunity to take the Florida Learner’s License (permit) exam for free. The exam – which is now available online with Driversed.com – had previously been a separate component that students must pay for through an approved online provider or take at their local DMV.

Florida Virtual School® and Mawi Learning Offer New Critical Thinking and Study Skills Course

Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) is once again joining forces with Mawi Learning to offer students a course that will increase their success in high school. The Critical Thinking and Study Skills course is a half-credit elective that teaches students how to get better grades and higher test scores.
