Florida Virtual School Appoints New President and CEO

On Thursday, May 11, 2017, the Florida Virtual School (FLVS) Board of Trustees announced Dr. Jodi Marshall as the new president and CEO of the organization effective July 1, 2017. Ronald Blocker, the current president and CEO who announced his resignation in February, will be working with Marshall for the remainder of the school year to ensure a smooth transition.

Florida Virtual School Teacher Receives International USDLA Award

Lisa Ullmann, lead instructor at FLVS, teaches students Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and AP Calculus. Ullmann was recently presented with the Excellence in Teaching/Training Award from the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA). Ullmann was also newly named the 2018 FLVS Teacher of the Year.

SAFE DRIVING AWARENESS AND FAMILY DAY PLANNED FOR APRIL 29 AT WATERFORD LAKES TOWN CENTER

In support of National Safety Council’s Distracted Driving Awareness month,
Florida Virtual School® (FLVS®) will host an educational Safe Driving and Family Day in partnership with
Waterford Lakes Town Center to increase automotive safety and awareness on Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot located behind Old Navy. The event will feature guest speakers and vendors providing safety tips to parents and students, family activities, treats and more at Orlando’s largest open air shopping, dining and entertainment destination.

FLORIDA VIRTUAL SCHOOL FULL TIME OPENS ENROLLMENT FOR 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR

Florida Virtual School Full Time (FLVS Full Time), a statewide online public school, is now accepting enrollments for grades Kindergarten-12 for the 2017-18 school year. The enrollment process can be completed online at www.flvsft.com.
